Three guys told me about the “Scientific Facts In the Qur’an” a couple of months ago. I had to investigate it. Easy thanks to the Internet, and do NOT throw your Qur’an away if you have one!
My advice to any spiritual leader however: Do NOT claim to be scientific when you are a spiritual leader! You will most likely lose the argument, or at worst look like a scam artist. Separate the two! Spiritual leadership is for moral guidance and life wisdom. Science is a couple of methods, used in order to come closer to evident truth. Only focusing on science, without moral guidance and wisdom, is very bad.

I come to think of a saying I heard from many Christians: – Thou shall not lie! I agree. Avoid lying! At least do like some famous prophets! Breathe deeply, meditate deeply, pray in the desert, or in caves, or in the jungle, and do not lie to yourself to begin with! Be truthful! Also. Do not lie to those who are not part of your groupthink! Scientific method etc. teaches people of today to see truth more clearly, so they will see through lies and never believe anything else you say ever, even if it might be true, even begin to do the opposite of what you say, even if that is very harmful for them.
No one will be so easily mislead as the one wanting to believe what he/she is being told. “Confirmation bias”. But without openness to what others say, without openness to what scientific evidence suggest, and without skepticism to what you yourself believe, before you believe anything at all, your belief will never stand on steady foundation and consequently will not be a very strong belief, unless you lack complete competence to investigate the matters at hand of course, but such blind faith can never be a deep faith.
The anger you might experience at this moment comes from s.c. cognitive dissonance. Breathe deeply and ask yourself why you are angry! If I am wrong, you have nothing to be angry about. Just prove me wrong. If I am right you have nothing to be angry about. Just try to change your belief a little bit!
Keep your faith in what is courageous, compassionate and good, brothers and sisters! Everything written in old books by humans are NOT wrong, or must not be interpreted as an absolute truth literally, and there has for a very long time existed many great books to consider, not only the Qur’an! Spiritual truth in them are not always in the details, and one can often feel good intentions in the context.
There were probably some books, some evidence, and very intelligent people before the Qur’an, and after. So to any question of how did someone know anything, before the writing of the Qur’an, the answer is obvious. – People who investigate, pray and meditate, have evidence and knowledge about a lot of things, therefore they can guess quite good or imagine many things happening in the future. It can even become a s.c. “self-fulfilling prophecy“. If you do not believe me, then do breath deeply, do meditation pray and prove/disprove that to yourself!
More than that is not really necessary in order for you yourself to debunk this video, but let me make it easy for you!
- It does at first seem true that the Quran impressed the Christian Dr. Keith L. Moore, but I can find no evidence that he was a Muslim, but hey why not? Apparently he was quite well paid by the Saudi government for the use of his name. Spiritual people do sometimes change belief. Nothing strange. Where are the actual quotes from the Quran? Not there. The reason for this seems obvious. The Quran does NOT say what is claimed in the video !!! So what does the Quran say? As I understand it, once translated into English it says:
“We created man from an essence of clay, then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place. Then We made that drop of fluid into a clinging form, and then We made that form into a lump of flesh, and We made that lump into bones, and We clothed those bones with flesh, and later We made him into other forms.”
That’s it. Clay! And “We” did it … Really? I guess it should say God/Allah did it? But anyway. You, dear clay figurine, have now learned developmental biology, as taught according to those who wrote it down. Do you believe it?

You can continue, but personally I have had enough for today. How about you? Why not interpret old religious books as a great books for their time, and maybe believe it in spirit, but not literally? …and maybe not claim it to be “scientific”?
Use your peacefulness, courage, compassion and understanding! Get out and work for World Peace, for the benefit of future generations! Use a great spirit, emotion, contextual messages and evident truth! In this day of age, I am quite certain it would make any old prophet proud of you, if the prophet could see you!
